Every strong brand has a story rooted in intent, persistence, and evolution.
Drumini’s journey began in 2003 with a clear purpose: to redefine how engineered wood products are made, used, and trusted in India.
Founded as Amazon Wood, the company entered the market at a time when consistency, scale, and quality were emerging as critical needs in the wood panel industry. From the very beginning, the focus was not just on manufacturing panels, but on building a system that could deliver reliability across furniture, interiors, and infrastructure applications.
Over the years, that commitment has shaped what Drumini is today.
From Amazon Wood to Drumini
What started as Amazon Wood has grown into Drumini, a brand that reflects maturity, expanded capability, and a forward-looking mindset. The evolution of the name mirrors the evolution of the company itself — broader product lines, advanced manufacturing, and a deeper commitment to sustainability and long-term partnerships.
Today, Drumini operates five advanced manufacturing plants across two states, producing a comprehensive range of engineered wood solutions. These include pre-laminated particle boards, MDF, HDF, eco-friendly bagasse boards, and shuttering plywood. Each product category is designed to serve specific needs across furniture manufacturing, interior applications, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Leadership That Shaped the Journey
Drumini’s growth has been guided by industry veterans Rakesh Verma and Vikas Kawatra, whose experience and long-term vision have played a key role in building the company’s foundation. Their approach has consistently emphasized quality, process control, and the ability to scale without compromising standards.
This leadership philosophy helped Drumini move steadily from a single manufacturing unit to a fully integrated, end-to-end production ecosystem.
Building Capability, Year by Year
Founded in 2003 as Amazon Group, the company set out to redefine engineered wood solutions in India, with a focus on quality, consistency, and scalable manufacturing.
By 2005, the first pre-lamination plant was commissioned at Ranjangaon, with a capacity of 90,000 sheets per month, marking an important step in establishing manufacturing strength.
In 2008, the company earned ISO 9001:2000 certification, reinforcing its commitment to structured quality systems and operational excellence.
Responding to evolving interior trends, a premium high-gloss (UV) pre-laminated range was introduced in 2012, expanding the product offering into design-led applications.
The journey continued in 2013 with entry into modular furniture manufacturing, extending capabilities beyond panels to finished solutions.
In 2014, the Tembhurni plant was launched to manufacture eco-friendly bagasse boards with a capacity of 90,000 CBM per year, reflecting a growing focus on sustainability.
To improve efficiency and consistency, automated short-cycle press lines were installed in 2015, significantly boosting production output.
A major industry milestone was achieved in 2019 with the introduction of India’s first mirror-finish shuttering plywood at the Yamunanagar facility, with a capacity of 80,000 CBM per year.
Expansion continued in 2021 with the addition of a particle board manufacturing line at Yamunanagar, producing 82,000 CBM per year.
By 2022, the company had partnered with leading OEM furniture brands across India, strengthening its presence in the organized furniture and interiors market.
In 2025, Drumini established an integrated, automated wood-to-furniture manufacturing unit at Yamunanagar, completing a major phase of vertical integration and reinforcing its long-term growth vision.
A Commitment to Sustainable Manufacturing
Sustainability is not an add-on for Drumini. It is embedded in how the company operates.
Three of Drumini’s manufacturing plants are powered by solar energy, reducing dependence on conventional power sources. The use of agricultural waste such as sugarcane bagasse as a raw material further strengthens the company’s environmental responsibility by converting waste into high-performance boards.
This approach allows Drumini to balance industrial scale with environmental accountability, making sustainability a practical part of everyday operations.
A Trusted Partner in the Wood Panel Ecosystem
Over two decades, Drumini has built its reputation on consistency, transparency, and long-term thinking. With end-to-end production capabilities and a diversified product portfolio, the company serves a wide network of contractors, architects, OEMs, and distributors across India.
The transition from Amazon Wood to Drumini represents more than a name change. It reflects a brand that has grown with the market, adapted to changing expectations, and remained focused on delivering dependable engineered wood solutions.
Looking Ahead
Drumini’s journey continues with the same principles that shaped its foundation: quality-driven manufacturing, responsible growth, and continuous evolution.
Rooted in nature and built on experience, Drumini remains committed to strengthening its role as a reliable and sustainable partner in India’s engineered wood industry — today and for the years to come.
